Preferring Crayons.

A Haiku for this Morning at Work.
Computer on. The
Papers shuffle without sound.
I'd rather color.
Sometimes I wonder if people from work will stumble upon this blog, read about how much I loathe my job, and then pink slip me, a la Dooce. If that ends up being the case, how awful (read: liberating) would that be?
Post re: the ADA Diabetes Expo in Boston coming soon. I left my digital camera in Boston and am waiting for the Person Who May Have It to get back to me so I can post up the pictures from the event. Otherwise, I’ll be forced to resort to crayon etchings and stick figure interpretations of the afternoon.
Which I may do, anyway.
Happy Monday, fellow bloggers.

I *heart* Dooce so much. Almost as much as the O.C.
Jobs. I wish we didn't need them.

Hey Kerri!
I think I would like to see the stick figures and crayola renditions anyways!
Yeah, jobs suck.
I am always very careful to keep a clear line between my blog and my work. I think it started from something in my wife's People magazine a long time ago with stories from three or four folks who did get fired from things stemming from their blogs! Ever since then I've been real careful about it.
I bet that if you mention to Larry Bird that you need a sponsor to cover your health insurance and living expenses while you blog about diabetes and do your other writing that he'd be quick to cover that for you.
You can bring that up in your next call from him. Let us know how it goes. :-)
That's exactly why I don't write about work in my job ;) Besides, it would not be family safe reading material...
Kerri - you're the first person I've heard using her blog hoping to get dooced. ;-)
Thanks for the welcome!
Kerri-
Happy Monday and Spring to you too. I am sorry your job sucks. How twisted is this, My boss asked me to start a blog about what I do. So I have a blog just dedicated to my job, I guess I should at least be careful what I post on there, huh? Anywho, would definitely love to see the crayon sketches, maybe you could get Superman and his Superfriends to help you.
When I was at work today, one of the supervisors, Andrew, decided to hold a coloring contest to see who could color the Teletubbies the best.
It was wonderful. And I thought of you.
I am my own boss and can write about whatever I want :)
After Superman makes a guitar with a tissue box and rubber bands, he'll be happy to help out with the illustrations :)
Kerri,
At the conference, use the crayons.
